The occasion is 22nd birthday. He has the basic electronics like a digital camera, iPod 3G, HDTV, PS3, new car stereo, and home theater system.

That depends on how much you’re willing to spend. A laptop is always great, but if you don’t want to pay that much, I would recommend a portable DVD player. A GPS is good too, or even one of those digital picture frames.
