When I was looking around for an mp3 player this one stood out, because of the low price, and the features on it. The menus took like 5 mins to figure out and once you do its easy. The memory is amazing, will easily hold all your songs. The picture quality is great. Bass and treble can be adjusted to how you want it. I have never been a fan of ipod because of the terrible sound, and are kind of expensive for the memory, and aren't nearly as wonderful as people say they are. I would pick this over an ipod or most other mp3 players any day. You will not be disappointed!
Pro : Battery life, storage, sound, price, picture
    Con : None

This mp3 player is GREAT for someone who has a lot music and can hold up to 15,500 songs with the 60 gig version. Plus the battery lasts about 11 hours with non-stop listening. Ive had mine for about a month and ive got only half my songs from my full ipod on it.
Pro : easy to use once you get the hang of it
Con : turns off when you have it paused too long

I have owned Ipod and Iriver and thought I'd pick this up due to storage capabilities. This thing crashed my system repeatedly, was horribly slow, and the actual navigation was terrible. On top of that, you can expect a complete lack of customer service (Their CS manager told me that there was an issue with my player but that was just tough luck).

I can't stress how aweful this player is but if you don't take my word for it, you will learn soon enough.
    Pro : Nie screen, battery
Con : Slow, poor nav, so many bad qualities

The gigabeat is a very good mp3 player for those who are just trying to listen to music. It holds a ton of music and generally for a decent price. It's strictly music and photos so it doesn't have all the video perks but for true music lovers, you're not looking for all of that any way. It is kind of bulky but I typically carry it in my pocket. One issue I had with it is that sometimes the panel would skip rapidly without being touched or the volume would go on it's on own as well but properly turning it off and charging the batteries should fix this. The battery lasts forever even when it says it's going down. I've had continuous play for at least 13 hours straight if not more. The sound features are great because you can adjust to how you want to hear so there's a lot you can do with it.
Pro : Holds a lot of music
    Con : few technical issues

I wasnt really looking for an mp3 player that could play videos but, now that i have seen the new version i think i like it better. I mean for $134 who can beat it, i saw now that they went back up to $190 dollars WOW!!! Did i ever luck out. Works great with the supplied software, just drag and drop or wmp works just as good with its sync.
Pro : Great equilizer with SRS WoW, color screen for pics, docking cradle, original design
Con : no built in fm tuner, doesnt play videos

I've had mine for about four months. I use a waist belt with the player in a pouch. The plastic clip on the remote broke after about two months. I used a bobby pin as a replacement. The bottom end plate of the drive came off about three weeks ago and the top end plate came off last week. Now I'm having problems with the outboard remote. It appears the wireing that goes from the player to the remote is failing right where it enters the remote. I'm experiencing intermitent noise and loss of stereo seperation betweens the ear pods.
Pro : You can ID songs after they are loaded
Con : Hardware doesn't stand up

It is cheaper than an Ipod, can hold tons of songs, has excellent battery life. What more could you want. I will never buy an Ipod ever again after using this.
    Pro : Amount of storage
    Con : Nothing!
