I got this mp3 player few days ago and already falling in love with it. I got all my favorite songs in there (about 201) and can add a few more! It is really nice for the price and what it can do. Very sleek and small and can fit even in the tiniest pocket! I love the fact that when you download songs from rhapsody or napster, the screen can show you like the album cover which is pretty cool. You can even download you pictures in this thing aand view. Of course, you wont be able to see very good detail but hey, they tried their best. All in all, very pleased with this product.
Pro : All of it!
Con : None so far

Overall for the money, this was a great product. Good sound and lots of features. Fairly easy to use if you are lucky enough to have your computer recognize it. Problem is that some PC's and Laptops I tried it on didn't recognize it as a "drive" Those that do will let you drag/drop and organize. Those that don't, you are pretty much up the creek.
Have not had any luck with support. The manual is just the stuff you should know already and the website is basically the digital version of the little user manual.
Tech support is not up to par.
If you are reasonably computer savvy, you will figure it out on your own.
The unit really puts out some sound, and the battery is rechargable by just plugging it in to your usb.Good life too.
For a 1gb under $100, you get everything you pay for. You can expand this guy on up from 1gb with mini-disk.
DO NOT BUY from rinkydink online stores. Go down to Circuit City or Best Buy and get it with a warranty. Trying to save a buck will get you in trouble because you don't know if you are getting reconditioned or seconds.
I did a LOT of research on this before making the purchase, in my opinion; this is the best on the market for the price range.
Pro : Easy to use, expandable, user-friendly
Con : Poor software and useless support

Had a Creative Zen before this, but dropped & broke it. Received the Sansa c240 as a gift (I feel for the one who wasted their $$).
Impossible to get playlists identified. The only way to get your music on there is to do a "sync" with your ENTIRE music library. The so called "drag & drop" idea is really great, but it doesn't work. Even w/purchased music, you are required to "sync" and as I mentioned before — it syncs your entire library.
With all the great technology out there, it is a shame Scan Disk is soooo poor operationally and as a plug & play - definately not!
For this money, invest in the Creative series - This one is definately a waste of money. And don't count on the support because they are in too much of a hurry to get you off the phone. I can't say anything good about this product.
I got my niece a lower model before I was given this one. She complained about it, but I didn't know what she was talking about — now I do. This family has TWO unhappy Scan Disk customers.
Pro : Portability
Con : Impossible to use

Great price, but it can easily break. Within the first month by headphones broke, then the mp3's volume went crazy, and then i bought new headphones and it wokred fine, and now it broke again.
I don't reccomend this mp3 to anynone.
Pro : Cheap, Small,
Con : Poor reliability

Overall i love this product. I recieved
it last year for christmas and was quickly impressed with it. I listen to it all the time on my way to school and i haven't had to change the battery yet. The only thing i don't like it that when you try to add songs to it it gets confusing. I wouldn't say it adds your whole music library but you can't just pick and choose the songs from multiple playlists, it ends up adding all the songs from every playlist that you have picked from. But other than that its a great product for the price.
Pro : long lasting battery (so far..)
Con : Confusing to add song to.

Overall, I'm really pleased with the C240 I received for Christmas. Photos are easily added using the software that's included, it holds a TON of songs and the battery life doesn't take a noticeable hit even though I listen to it for about 80 minutes every morning on the way to and from work.
Love the fact that when the lithium ion battery in it finally goes (i.e. it can't hold a charge anymore), I can replace the battery myself. Don't have to ship it off to have the manufacturer replace it for me, which is more than you can say for most iPods and a lot of Creative Zens.
Really pleased, love that I can resize my pictures to fill the little screen. Vivid colors, great sound. Ear buds that came with it were only so-so, but that' SOP with most MP3s.
User's manual leaves a lot to be desired. Went to the Sansa website, and read through some of the forums to get the information I needed. (Mostly about the battery..)
Recommended!
Pro : Photos are easily converted
