Take everything you love about iPod and shrink it. Now shrink it again. With 2GB (500 songs) and 4GB (1,000 songs) models starting at $199, the pencil-thin iPod nano packs the entire iPod experience into an impossibly small design. So small, it will take your music places you never dreamed of.
Believe Your Ears
Call it astonishing. Unbelievable. Impossible, even. Then pick it up and hold it in your hand. Take in the brilliant color display. Run your thumb around the Click Wheel. Put on the earbuds and turn up your music. That’s when everything becomes clear: It’s an iPod.
It holds up to three days’ worth of music. It plays for up to 14 hours between battery charges. It displays the color album art for the song you’re listening to right now. It carries your photos, podcasts and audiobooks. It syncs seamlessly with iTunes. It connects to a host of iPod accessories. Simply put, iPod nano is 100-percent iPod. And then some.
Touch and Go
iPod nano’s Click Wheel puts music under your thumb. Click to fast-forward, rewind, play, pause or access menus. Use the touch-sensitive surface to control volume or browse music. You can do it all without looking. But with an iPod this beautiful, who’d want to?
Song Stylings
Add accessories to your iPod nano via the Dock connector and headphone jack and your music will always keep up with you - at home, on the go, even in your car. Of course, in either signature white or sleek black, iPod nano itself makes the ultimate accessory.
Up to 4GB of skip-free storage on a featherweight iPod means you can wear almost three days’ worth of music around your neck. Or jog with 1,000 songs on your arm. Now that you can take your music everywhere, there’s no limit to where it will take you.

I know that others are saying that the iPod Nano scratches easily, but if you REALLY want a Nano, you can purchase a relatively cheap ($5) protective iPod nano cover from decalgirl.com in many designs (removable, too!). Ever since I covered it, I haven't seen one scratch b/c it's now protected. I've dropped my Nano a couple a times, even on the sidewalk once, and my Nano still looked and operated perfectly. With the additions of being able to view photos, a full cover screen and a small size, this iPod is definitely worth $199. The Mini seems heavy and mammoth compared to the Nano, so if you're an avid exerciser, it will probably be easier to work out with your lightweight Nano. Best of all is the Nano's battery life. I can get a couple more hours out of playing the Nano without recharging it than with the Mini. Overall, this is a excellent product, albeit with a few issues, but it's worth it!
Pro : It's small size, features like games and pictures
Con : The Scratching Issue…

I have had my iPod Nano for about 3 months and I can't keep my-self away from it. This is my first iPod and this whole experience to me was different. The iPod Nano is the best iPod because of its features like, music, games, pictures, ect.. I have the 2gb. and I still havn't reached 500 yet but once I do my plan was to delete songs that i didn't like. Some parts i don't like about the Black Nano is finger prints…left and right i am pulling out a CD cleaner to clean it. My friends has the White Nano and the only part you can see finger prints is the back
Buy this iPod…its THE best iPod…….EVER
Sincerly

I got the nano for 5 days and I can say that I love it. So easy to put in your pocket and so easy to use. I really like the click wheel it makes using the nano so easy .The color screen is easy to read and it makes it more fun to play the four fun games that on the nano and to view photos . Although the screen is small little bit 1.5 in but the ipod nano is already so small!!. If you will buy it you should buy also some cover to protect it because it's really easy to be scrutched.I like that you can view photos on the nano. I don't need more that 2 GB because all my music files are just 1.3 GB and my photos are just about 500 MB so it's perfect for me.
Pro : So small and alot of featuers.
Con : little expensive for 2 GB and easy to scrutch

I love my ipod! I don't know how I ever lived without my lilith. It's a great way to compact your entire music collection into a such a tiny device. It files the songs by title, artist, album, and genre. You also can easily make up your own playlists and the itunes library is very user friendly and helpful.
I also love how you can legally buy songs not just albums from the itunes store. Songs are only .99 cents and you get to support your artists that you are passionate about.
Apple says the battery life is 16 hours but I found it more to be close to between 6-8. It also scratches VERY EASILY. I wish they would have made at least the LCD screen with some kind of scratch resistant material.
All in all I would recommend the Ipod nano to anyone who's looking to start out with an MP3 player. The 4MB hold up to a 1,000 songs which I found to be ample room to hold all my most favorite music.
Pro : Large Capacity, Compact Size, User Friendly
Con : Short Battery Life, Scratches VERY easily

The ipod nano is a pretty good mp3 player but if your looking for something even better and about the same price, I recommend the ZenV… this ipod is just way too simple (not in a good way)

Pro : it's small and holds up to a 1000 songs.
Con : not that good sound quality, you cant put a background image on it, lacks of features, scratches very easly!

I love my iPod. I purchased it on a whim because my bestfriend got one also. We both purchased the black 1GB which I have not filled yet but am working on. She has filled hers and wishes she had gotten the bigger 2GB. I think it is crap on here that people are saying that the price is outrageous. The 1GB cost us 150, and the 2GB is 199…that is not bad at all.
Even if you don't purchase a bunch of songs at first, it is well worth putting your CD's on and it is so easy with iTunes to do so. And by putting them in iTunes to put on your iPod you can then listen to them on your computer also. Songs are only 99cents and you can buy whole albums much cheaper then CD's. I think overall this is awsome.
Pro : Small size, sound quality
Con : Scratchs easily
